I was tremendously pleased with the staff at Freight Center. Chris Holder did a tremendous job helping book the shipment of a chair to my 91 year old mother, providing tips on finding free pallets and packing. Also, other staff including Nate Moore, Jen, Micki and Hannah were tremendous helping me throughout the shipping process.

Charged credit card for weight overage. I have all of documentation of the exact weight of my originally delivery from the manufacturer. But they charged several hundred dollars extra to my credit card saying the package weighed 200 lbs more than my paperwork stated. Our order was sent to us, it was the wrong door so we returned it. I had all of the shipping paperwork from the original delivery. Product weight, shipping package weight everything. They added 200 additional lbs to the weight and charged my credit card. I have proof of the weight of the package but they still would not correct this charge. But…My package did get picked up and delivered to the correct location.
One person was able to pick up this package that they say weighed over 350 lbs. I personally would like to see one man, by himself pick up 350 lbs and lift it into the back of a delivery truck, without a lift! But they insist that was the weight. I ended up paying more for delivery than I paid for the entire product. I could have just kept it.
Update.
For the record, I did reach out to Freight Center 3 times. Once by phone, 2 times by email with all of the documentation from the manufacturer with products specs. I even had them type me a letter on their letter head confirming the package specs. I did receive an automated reply message that someone would be contacting me. But that never happened.

Freight Center is a scam. Freight center charged us $557.00 upfront to ship a stereo console several states away. We gave them a product description and even photos. The salesman assured me they could handle this and we even spent some time small talking about stereo consoles. When the shipping crew arrived they they gruffly explained that they were not able to handle this delivery and that they would probably brake the stereo console. We called our salesman and could not get hold of him. Freight Center is now refusing a full refund and only offering store credit for the 557.00. Their customer service department hung up on us. We ended up having good success with uship for $284.00. Buyer Beware.

This is a terrible service company with completely incompetent employees who are unable to solve even the most trivial issues. I called them several times to resolve the refund issue, as the transport company refused to pick up the pallets three times, despite the correct dimensions and weight being provided, along with attached photos.

Furthermore, they withheld $260 from us for the fact that the driver from Roadrunner Transportation came three times and refused to pick up the pallets. Even though our supplier repacked them after the first refusal, the reasons for the service failure were unjustified. On top of that, they still withheld additional fees that we do not owe!

What’s even more outrageous is that they refunded us only $380 out of $760, effectively stealing 50% of the amount, even though our cargo was never picked up! Just a worse company!!!

Freight Center Made Things Right!, I strongly suggest you Check Your double check the weight of your shipment after its picked up with the carrier as I believe carriers are changing them to scam people The extra weight dispute was resolved quickly with the carrier & The insurance I purchased from freightcenter covered the damages to my shipped item. Freightcenter reversed the double charge on my card.... So I am happy all things were made right. 4 stars only for all the added hastle

Second my shipment weight was less than 275lbs per Manufacture specs. Was packed crated measured and weighed before shipping. Not only was the shipment damaged during transit, but I was told the the shipment weighed 940lbs more!!! so 1,300lbs!!!! how does a 275lb shipment become 1,300lbs!! AT NO POINT WAS I MADE AWARE THAT THE FREIGHT CARRIER CHANGED THE SHIPMENT WEIGHT UNTIL A WEEK AFTER THE SHIPMENT WAS RECEIVED, HAD I BEEN MADE AWARE DURING TRANSIT, I COULD HAVE ADRESSED IT WITH THE CARRIER & FREIGHTCENTER BEFORE IT WAS RELEASED FOR PICKUP.
additionally they charged 150% of my original shipment cost to my credit card 1 week after the shipment arrived this was when I first found out. . I was told it could take 90 days to "Dispute" the added weight fraud charge. I did pay for additional insurance to cover the damages so again well see.

Was quoted one price and given a reference number to be able to pay online…paid and was then called and told the information that the customer service rep filled out was incorrect and suddenly my quote was raised over double the original quote. Will never use this company. Wouldn’t recommend anyone that ships freight to use them either. I didn’t fill anything out online, the customer service rep filled everything out for me, and they switched it from the original quote where they told me it was class 50 to class 100. Well as it turn out…according to all the actual reputable sites…its class 70 so the customer service people probably need more training in learning how to fill out their own quotes when speaking to a customer. Look elsewhere for 3rd party freight quotes. The company will quote one rate and then come back for additional charges a few weeks later for some bogus 'freight class adjustment'. We told them exactly what was being shipped over the phone, they assigned the freight class and this STILL continues to happen. The manufacturer has also confirmed that our freight class was correct for this shipment and FreightCenter refuses to revert to the original quoted price.

My son was giving a quote and then was told the cost was almost double. Unfortunately, he had to have the product shipped back to him and was charged 3 times the original coast. Aweek after the product was delivered, he got another charge of $150 saying the Auditor found a discrepancy and had to pay additional freight cost. Worst experience ever. Do not use these people as they are not earnest. Scam!
