The crew sent to pack our home made critical mistakes in basic packing and destroyed many of our items. Once delivery was made, my emails went unanswered for compensation. We paid for mattress bags, we were assured they had them, and NO mattress bags were used. They shrink wrapped them instead and the mattresses arrived dirty and they were new. Our beautiful 70 in TV was split up the back because they did NOT take the feet off of it (but they took the feet off of the other one). All light fixtures were scratched, a chair broken, an expensive speaker that should have been with the 70 inch TV never arrived!! The list goes on. No one seems to be responsible for the damages. Where has honesty and integrity in business gone. We have moved often, and have never ever been so shocked and dissapointed. Buyer beware, they are there for you until they have your money. I hope they will possibly reply to my email of today, but I will not hold my breath. Their claims department awarded us $75.00 after all of the photo proof I sent!!! That does not even cover the packing items I paid for but did not receive. I do not ever write reviews, but felt the need to warn others. Below are a few photos.

Mover's Van Lines was contracted by International Van Lines to move our items from TN to TX. After leaving our house in TN many of our items were damaged and a few items were ruined. Most hardware for furniture was lost en route to TX (including all armchair legs, screws for two table legs, and a double dresser with mirror). Many pieces were destroyed and when the truck was being unloaded in TX it was apparent the individual who loaded our items from storage did not care about our items.

Separate boxes and pieces were shoved into boxes we had packed leading to damage to items within boxes. If you want to have a quality moving experience when you pay thousands of dollars, I would recommend going with another company. I also would recommend not going with International Van Lines since they contracted out our move and led to this horrible experience.

The amount of money we are going to have to spend to replace all the items Mover's Van Lines, Inc. destroyed will cost thousands of dollars that ultimately negates having them moved in the first place. Stay away if you have valuable personal items that you care about!

Update: After spending three months filing claims documentation, receipts, and pictures. Movers is offering to pay $50.00 for all the items that they destroyed or are missing. If you have any valuable items that you’re moving, I’d highly recommend going with any other moving company that isn’t contracting out to a third party (since we thought International Van Lines was who would be moving us). Greatly disappointed and don’t want others having a similar experience.

Wish I read this reviews before choosing movers van lines. I've moved between states 7 times in the past few years with packing my own uhaul, this the first time using a moving company since my job was going to pay for it. I had to pack everything myself, used good quality bubble wrap and home depot heavy duty boxes. Labeled all the boxes contaning items "GLASS" and "FRAGILE" very obviously on the box. When a number of boxes came back obviously busted with several glass items broken they simply said the insurance would cover. However, they did not. They denial stated: "The carrier is not liable for any packing damages to any fragile items unless packed and unpacked by its employees. Since the carrier did not pack or unpack any cartons, the van operator would have no knowledge of the contents of the containers or the condition of the contents". This company doesn't pack any glass items, so why bother with the insurance? Never again.

WORST MOVING COMPANY. Do yourself a favor and do not use this company. They do not seem to care or know what they're doing. Upon arrival, numerous items of expensive furniture were broken, nicked or chipped. Their carelessness was readily apparent in that minimal padding was used on delicate items and things were thrown haphazardly in boxes. The unloading crew seemed very inexperienced. After unloading, they refused to unpack boxes even though it was paid for and in their contract.

Movers Van Lines moved my mom from Atlanta to NYC. The driver was shockingly rude and unprofessional and was actually cussing at my mom. He was over a week late and refused to deliver when a service elevator was available. When he finally arrived at my mom's apartment building he threatened not to unload the truck if she did not pay them more. The whole crew on either end didn't seem very experienced, caring or competent. I would never use this company again.

This was the worst Moving Company of my life. We have moved 7 times over the years between cities. Never before have I had this many problems with a Mover in my life. They hounded me for additional funding after grossly underestimating my packing and loading expenses. They lost and damaged my household good. They've refused to settle my claims. Please don't use this company.

The only reason I am giving this company a 2 star rating instead of a 1 star rating, is because Omar packed my glass items extremely well to where they were all received without a scratch on them. The reason for this rating is because a lot of my items received were messed up with scratches, dents, and once out back together completely stripped screws on everything. We had to purchase a new king size bed because all the planks and the footboard were wrapped, we had to use a wrench to remove the screws because they had absolutely no head on them anymore. Once they left our house we were moving from, I was informed they didn’t have anymore “room” or boxes to pack up the rest of my things (keep in mind we were moving from Georgia to Kentucky), I had two in a half slap full, barely had room for my kid both trips up full of things they did not pack. And I am beyond thankful for my mom who came up to meet the movers with me because they upped our final payment and Venmo would only allow my husband and I to each send $1,000 and we were short another $500, because they do not take card, even though the paperwork that was sent via the company we schedule the move with said otherwise on the payment and that they excepted card. It was a complete nightmare, and I would not recommend them if you are moving and amount of long distance.

Warning—Warning!! Do not use Mover’s Van Lines moving company. If I could give this company 0 stars, I would. The owners are unprofessional and only interested in money and how much they can manipulate the customer into getting more and more money. They completely lack customer service. We moved from NC to GA and used a broker company based out in Florida (we didn’t know this at the time) to get a quote and schedule a moving date. We paid a hefty deposit online to them. We thought this company were going to be the one’s that move us, but no. That broker company hired movers van lines, inc. from Doraville, GA to come pack our things and move us . They arrived very late, with a truck that wasn’t big enough for all of our household items. AND when they began packing and loading, once they reached a little under half of the truck space, they said in order for them to load and fill up the rest of the truck bed, we would have to pay them more money—- A couple thousand dollars more. They knew we were in a stressful situation and had time constraints to be out of NC. They took advantage of us for more money. Not only once but twice in asking for more money to finish the job. I had to pay them right away or the owner threatened that the movers will stop packing and loading. They still ended up not being able to pack all of our household items. We had to leave many things behind and leave it in storage. I tried several times to reach out to the owner of the company to express my concerns and get an explanation that made sense, but he told me he was too busy to speak to me and would call me back. Well, he never called me back. Save yourself the added stress, disappointment and anguish—- don’t use this moving company.

In short: Company attempted to violate the contract as written and charge me 5x the contracted re-delivery fee.

Upon first attempted delivery, I informed the business that I would need to delay the delivery by 3 days. They then told me that I would be charged a redelivery fee of 1500 dollars. However, I signed a contract with the company saying that the redelivery fee would be 1 dollar/cubic foot. Specifically, the clause stated verbatim: "Redelivery Fee $1 per cf for jobs less than 500cf, $0.75 per cf for jobs over 501cf." In this case, that would be 300 dollars. Even with a storage cost of "$50 per 100cf plus labor" being appended to this, the redelivery cost they attempted to charge me would have valued labor at 1050 dollars.

Long story short: If you're gonna work with these guys, read the contract very carefully, know every term inside and out, because they will try to lie to you.
