I stay in Marriott hotels across the US and do so because I expect a standard that I can rely on. With having that said, I booked this place due to the location to the airport and the fact there is a shuttle provided. I arrived late and checked in. Once checked in I inquired about the shuttle. I was told the shuttle would not be running Friday but would be back up in operation Saturday. I was also told that I would need to pay for an Uber or Lyft.

Ii settled in to my room and pushed the button to turn on the TV… nothing. The TV would not turn on. After trying repeatedly to turn it on, I decided to call down to the front desk. No phone. I then had to get dressed and walk down to the front desk to wait and ultimately receive batteries that remedied the problem.

All of this may seem petty, however, I was in town unexpectedly due to my younger sister being killed in a head on collision. I stayed at her house while making arrangements, but needed to stay close to the airport in a hotel that provided service to the airport. With the emotional stress I was going through, I felt secure in my decision in selecting this hotel, based on many previous experiences I have had in all Marriott brands.

This experience was sub-par to say the least. Residence Inn Austin Airport will never again receive my business and tarnishes the Marriott brand.

Stayed here for two weeks while on business. My car got broken into in their open air parking lot along with many other cars. When I asked the front desk about it they said that it had been happening. When I went to check out I found out I was charged a daily parking fee every day for parking in their open air parking lot that has zero security which my car got broken into in lol. The rooms were pretty drab as well. Giving this hotel one star bc free breakfast was nice and the front desk staff I interacted with were also nice. I won't stay here again or recommend.

Staff was very helpful. The breakfast was very good which is not the norm anymore. I'll stay here again if I'm in the area.

This is such a great hotel....located not far from downtown Austin.
Clean rooms, friendly staff, free complimentary hot breakfast, outdoor pool. Small treat shop area with snacks, frozen entrees, sodas, juices, beer.

Room was dirty. Heat had no automatic regulating feature. Old hotel that needs some love. Shuttle service to the airport is not a given.

The rooms are worn, loose handles, chipped paint. The service was average, not bad, not stellar, just average. There are no restaurants nearby, you have to drive everywhere. Not a particularly pretty setting.

We’ve stayed at Residence Inns where everything is top-notch: the rooms have no flaws, the service is doting, and there is a lot to do (places to eat, shop, be entertained) within a short, easy walk.

But be advised: while they advertise having an airport shuttle, they did not have one the afternoon we arrived nor the morning we left, even though we were well within the published hours.

We are staying for an extended amount of time for work. It's great. The rooms are nice the staff is nice. It's close enough to downtown to be able to pop in and out.
